NORMAL QUALITY TAMARIND KERNEL POWDER

We manufacture normal quality tamarind kernel powder (industrial grade) Grade “C” passing through 100 - 150 mesh containing low viscosity and low filtration, Tamarind seeds are derived from tamarind tree, tamarind seeds comprise of 35% husk and 65% white kernel is used for producing different grades of powders are called starch .The white kernels are rich in carbohydrates, fibres, oils and protein as well and also has high absorbing water capacity. Hence the tamarind kernel powder is 300% more efficient than corn starch.

PROCUREMENT OF RAW MATERIAL:

Tamarind kernel Powder is one of the natural hydrocolloid source containing natural gums and starch, and Viscosity is the main parameter to assess the quality of natural gums like tamarind kernel powder. The applications of any natural gums are dependent on its viscosity and other rheological properties i.e. directly linked to procurement of raw material and roasting methods used in separation of tamarind kernels from Testa (shell) because over roasting tamarind kernels will decrease gum concentration (gel strength) and starch levels as well as the viscosity solution hence It is summarized that the viscosity of powder solution also depends on gum concentration and roasting methods. We manufacture different grades and procure different raw materials of Tamarind Kernel Powder products for different industrial usages and applications.

Decorticated white tamarind kernel seeds

TAMARIND KERNEL POWDER PROPERTIES:

  • Galactoxyloglucan polysaccharide 55%-60%
  • Lipids 6%
  • Proteins 15-20% and also contains some percentage of Sugar, D-mannose and D-galactose

  • Protein content - AOAC Official Method of Analysis 981.10(Kjeldahl method)
  • Fat content - AOAC Official Method of Analysis 923.06
  • Viscosity- Brookfield Viscometer RVT
  • Main monosaccharide component - analyzed by GC-FID (Agilent Technologies 6890N Network GC system) fitted with flame ionization detector
